Subject: DBD cannot get the list of address books for the local server.
Feedback Type: Problem
Product Area: Database
Technical Area: Error Message
Platform: Windows
Release: 8.5.2
Reproducible: Intermittent

This has come up a couple of times in this forum and in the 8.0 forum. This appears to be a known issue, however the links provided in the older posts now get a 404 error.

Want to have some fun? Google this...
"DBD cannot get the list" of address books for the local server.

As you can see this is a not an uncommon issue.

It appears to occur in fields that have DBLookup/DBColumn formulas.

Any insights into what might be causing this would be helpful.

Actually, I think I know what is going on in my particular case...

Andre Guirard suggested in a post that something may be wrong with the Notes client configuration. The user that I am getting this on is using an old setup that has address books to which she no longer has access listed in the Preferences - Local Address Books configuration parameter.

I am fixing this, but since this is an intermittent problem, I won't know if it has resolved the problem. If it does not, I will come back here and post. Otherwise, you may want to look at your config for your Notes clients and Domino servers (probably the Directory Assistance setup on the server).
