Exchange to Domino migration

I think the approach to do it will be similar to what is documented in the redbook but the tooling will be different. Personally, I never relied on DUS. I know the Notes client has a migration tool out of the box but it's terrible and I suspect DUS to lack quality and options too. I would advise you to look at some decent migration tools like Binary Tree CMT and if the number of mailboxes is limited, you can go for tools that do pst to nsf conversions. Contacts and calendar items are normally included.

Your main concern will be how you convert public folders to something that can work in the Notes concept (a shared mailbox or calendar e.g.) and how to make sure that mail routing is not interupted during the migration. Normally, you would setup users twice and use forwarding between the systems using SMTP. At one point you will need to convert SMTP inbound/outbound to the Domino system and when the migration finishes, you need to decommision the Exchange server and rely on Domino.
