About these time Zone issues with LN852 on Citrix..
Dear All. Please pass a glance at the two URLS below. We have disabled the tzhook.ddl function by removing the key on the Citrix server:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Citrix\wfshell\Per Session Time Zone
This because LN852(FP3)used inside our Citrixfarm showed four hours time difference when displaying timestamps using the embedded Sametime client in LN852. Meaning when somebody on a THIN client did a chat session to somebody on a FAT client via the Citrix server it displayed fine on the THIN client but that same Chat session on the FAT client showed +4 hours difference in these timestamps (also certain agenda items showed 4 hours ahead when checking the meetings in the week view of the Notes agenda) When opening these agenda document than looking at start and end time the time was displayed okay. Stange isn't it?
The problem got solved by removing this key mentioned above BUT it's a pitty we still cannot explain what caused the difference to be exact 4 hours. The Timezone on the FAT client was CET (GMT+1) and on the Citrix server it showed Western Europeon time. This difference caused the tzhook.dll to be triggered and causing the problems.
Conclusion. Make the Timezone on the Citrix server leading and only honour the local timezone of the citrix server only. Do not honour (server estimate) timezones of the client. We hope IBM can explain the 4 hours difference.
