Currently (8.5.2), ID Vault is not working with SMBv2 enabled in a specifc but very common XenApp scenario
I know, ID Vault is not supported for 8.5.2, so my very question is aimed for 8.5.3 support of SMBv2 and ID Vault
SMBv2 is on by default since MS Vista and MS Windows Server 2008.
If the data directory of a Notes installation is located on a MS Windows Server 2008 (or newer) file server and Lotus Notes 8.5.2 is installed on Citrix XenApp 5.0 on Windows Server 2008 (supported configuration since 8.5.1 for XenApp) AND ID vault is used, the ID downloaded from the vault becomes corrupted.
I've already discussed on PBIT84XBR8 with Dave Kern (in the Domino Next Design partner forum) and Lori Kim (IBM internally).
In my point of view it is not a HW issue (as suggested by Dave) and ID Vault seems to be the only affected Notes client component.
I doubt customers will accept/be happy about statements like "We support ID Vault on Citrix XenApp, but only with local data directories or SMBv2 disabled"
My expectation for a IBM support statement like "ID Vault is supported on Citrix XenApp (6.0) starting with Lotus Notes 8.5.3" is that a default on feature like SMBv2 of a supported platform (Windows Server 2008, Windows Server 2008 R2) is supported and all supported configurations of Lotus Notes on Citrix XenApp are working with ID Vault, too.
