RE: Problem with new Traveler 8.5.3.3 install

The latency line indicates how long it takes to move the monitoring of mail servers from one server to the next. This probably indicates that one of your mail servers is not behaving well and taking a long time to timeout. To really know what is going on, you need to open a PMR with logs and dumps so that we (IBM) can see what is going on.

In 8.5.3.x, the monitoring is done on a single thread, so one back server can hold up the others. In 8.5.3 Upgrade Pack 1, we change the threading so that each server has its own thread so it can only hold up others on that same server instead of everybody. Therefore, you may want to consider UP1 (you can still run in non-HA/Derby mode like you are now in UP1 - you don't have to go to a full HA setup).
