553 error

Hello, the smtp 553 error code typically indicates that There is an invalid email address/recipient address in the “To“ field of the email message.
Are all messages being rejected with the same error code regardless of recipient? From the original post it appears that this is occurring with Sendmail only? I assume Domino mail routing is functioning properly? The issue just occurs with Sendmail?

Did you attempt to telnet via smtp on port 25 to the destination server and attempt to send a test message to the recipient that was being declined with the smtp 553 error? If so does the issue recur?
