This is our bug (PR 311315), it's fixed internally. No workaround other than deleting the plugin (I don't think you need to uninstall Fusion).

VMware policy is to not discuss timelines, so we can't say exactly when a fix will be available.

Confirmed by several reports - removing the plugin fixes the problem, and Fusion still works.
 I presume it'll make it into either the next beta or the product ion version though (i.e. that it's been vetted forinclusion in the next build)?
