Subject: Update "Run on" property of agents using helper agent
Feedback Type: Problem
Product Area: Domino Server
Technical Area: Application Development
Platform: Windows
Release: 8.5.1
Reproducible: Always

I needed to update the "Run on" property of some agents to a new server that we installed. So I created a helper agent to to that by setting the ServerName property in NotesAgent class. I called this agent via web using OpenAgent URL command. It worked but as a side effect it added my name in the "Run on behalf of". Also it reset the "Runtime security level" property to "Do not allow restricted operations".

I found this discussion (http://www-10.lotus.com/ldd/nd6forum.nsf/4d21f120f5a2cf4985256a150076d0d5/8385e2ef5d1e7026852570440052d3e6?OpenDocument) explaining that helper agent should run via Notes client to avoid problems. And running the agent via Notes client keeps all the properties intact.

But why does running from web change the "Run on behalf of" and "Runtime security level"? Also as the OnBehalfOf property in NotesAgent class is read-only I had to manually update the agents. Is there a way to update that programmatically?
