Feedback Type: Problem
Product Area: Domino Server
Technical Area: Application Development
Platform: System i (iSeries/i5OS)
Release: 8.5.3
Reproducible: Always

I have a web page served up by domino. On the page I am using XMLHTTPRequest. This is calling an agent that is run as web user. The application was made to be run from the factory floor on a mobile device.

The server does prompt for user / password.

On the useragent is run on Windows OS the Session.EffectiveUser is returned. Remote_User is also Returned.

When is it on an Android or Linux OS the Session.EffectiveUser is returned as Anonymous and Remote_User is blank.

I did put a field named "Remote_User" on the served form and it does get populated on all OS. But that does not help since the agent is run as the web user and needs to use the credentials to open other databases.

Is there something that the admin might have to behave differently with NON-MS OS?
