Is there any way to extract text from memos for filtering and parsing in other applications?

I have a few hundred emails from a backup system and I want to look at the volume of data copied every night on half a dozen servers over the last few months. Ordinarily I would write an Applescript to do it, but Applescript and Notes aren't a happy marriage.

IS there a way to either save the entire contents of a Notes folder out to text files or to access the content of memos through a scripting language? (Applescript, PERL, Python, Lua, Ruby, whatever?) Or will it all have to be done by hand?

I can only access my mail through Notes, webmail or iNotes. Pop and IMAP are not available.

thnaks!
