If you go to www.ubm.com/us the release is on the front page but, very small. With R5 they put a spot on the Super Bowl. I don't know the direction IBM/Lotus is going but it doesn't seem like they want to continue under the current model. With whatever7 they come out with, are they going to take the .nsf away and make us use DB2? I know they are going to let us use either but when will IBM force that hand. Most companies went away from DB2 to the flavor of the month Oracle. Does this mean that if you are a Domino shop you are now also a DB2 shop? I love Notes/Domino and have been blessed with making a good living at it but, big blue's direction is not clear and they have not been doing a good job of defining where they are going with Domino. I guess we will have to wait and see and hopefully learn some new skills along the way when or if Domino goes bye bye. Does anybody know the number of that trucking school?
