But that is still a high risk strategy because in order to accomplish it, you would need one of your own hosts to be blocked by a DNSRBL.
Simplest way would be to configure another server as an open relay and then force
ordb to test it. That would get it listed pretty quickly. Then you send mail out from that server into the server you are testing and, if the server you are testing is set up to log and reject based on ordb listings, the mail would be bounced.
That, or you could set up your own DNS server using something like
djbdns and create a test RBL zone, listing one of your own IPs and do the same test as above.
On the whole, I think it is simpler just to use the tests offered by
sbl and
ordb.
