I haven't been able to reproduce it regularly, but I believe our problem has to do with scheduled archiving kicking off when the client is locked and/or the machine has gone into sleep mode. I'm guessing that when the scheduled archiving has completed, the NotesCompact process attempts to run. I haven't been able to nail down yet whether the problem occurs when the client is locked, or if the machine needs to be in sleep mode to induce the NotesCompact error. When I figure it out, I'll post what I learned.
