RE: CrossoverOffice/Wine may be a solution!!

Notes Client 6.0 Linux - RedHat

I made a mistake. Its sort of working now.

I've now managed to get it started and went through all the configuration.

When I start Notes I get my login screen and type in my password.

Then I get a grey workspace with a red square in the middle that says:

"Sorry, an uncorrectable error has occured. LookupHandle: null handle

Press ENTER to abort the application"

So close and yet so far away.

I also receive the following error multiple times on the command line:

12/11/2002 11:44:44 AM ECL Alert Failure: Wrong Password. (Passwords are case sensitive - be sure to use correct upper and lower case.)

and at the end of the messages:

Thread=[8A6FF20:0002-8A6FFD8]
Stack base=0x406B1874, Stack size = 7796 bytes
PANIC: LookupHandle: null handle

Here's the basics of what I've done.

1) Copied the entire lotus directory under C:\Program Files\ to ~/wine/Program Files/

2) Edited the notes.ini file and changed the Directory= entry to y:\wine\program files\lotus\notes\data

3) Run "/home/john/cxoffice/bin/wine /home/john/wine/Program\ Files/lotus/notes/notes.exe" (all one big long line without the quotes)

4) Log in and then BLAMMO I get the error.

Any suggestions? Anybody else get this far? Any wine experts out there?
