~Mario Xangeropuloni 17.Dec.03 11:32 PM a Web browser Domino Server6.5Windows 2000
I still can't believe my eyes. Has anybody seen this before?
In one of our Domino apps, when an authenticated user opens a powerpoint file attachment from the browser, the presentation that is returned to the user contains one slide, which is the Domino server's login screen, rather than the actual presentation that is attached to the document.
To make matters even stranger, we have three citrix servers accessing the domino server. Two of the servers produce the login 'presentation', while the third is able to open the actual attached presentation with no problems. This error is consistent and repeatable.
I saved the web source of the domino login screen as a ppt file and then opened this in powerpoint, this output is exactly what the user gets when they try to open the attachment. Very strange. I also tried entering the exact URL for the attachment while not logged in. The domino server prompts the user for a name and password as it should, and then when the user is authenticated, it sends through the login screen as a ppt.
I also tested opening different types of attachments. These work fine, the problem seems to be confined to powerpoint presentations.
Is this some sort of wierd mime type bug or something? Is our domino server posessed? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
