There are a few thing that need to be looked at.

Your dim rtitem as NotesRichTextItem is in the first block of your If Statement move this out.

Case "B" will also throw an error because your using doc.GetItemValue not GetFirstItem.

In debug mode check the doc for rtdoclinkc and see if it has a value for array element 0.
