For what it's worth, I believe the problem you're seeing is that EasySync doesn't understand the new Palm Versa Mail.

If you want, you could install the "old" Palm mail application. It's available somewhere on Palm's site, or I've got it posted here:
http://www.dominounplugged.com/filetransfer.nsf/outbound
