The **REAL** option is ignoring the desktop and syncing directly with the server.

Cadenza mNotes, mentioned in other posts in this thread, supports server-based sync, meaning there doesn't have to be any client on the local PC, it talks directly to the server.

Unfortunately, this means the Palm has to have a means of accessing the network - wirelessly, or however. And, until the new Tungsten models, Palm hasn't done a very good job of that.
