I agree ~Jennifer Rejipyplopoopsi 9.Dec.02 07:57 AM a Web browser Notes Client 6.0Linux - RedHat
As I heard from our Lotus service partner (an IBM Premium Partner) on this year's Systems fair in Munich, there definitely _is_ demand for a Unix client. And, IMHO, it's quite ignorant they haven't at least provided support for web-access via mozilla.
We are ourselves desperately hoping for a native client, as we would really love to switch our 300 seats to a linux thin-client/openoffice/notes solution.
BUT, I think one reason IBM will not go for a native client, is that there is no way to implement the kind of MsOffice integration Notes has now. Of course you cold say "I don't need that, give us an OpenOffice Document Library instead". Again I agree... But that would mean two slightly different versions of Notes. Every HOWTO, book, article, support case, FAQ would have to be written with a "everything is different with the unix client..." note. And just think of all the support problems that would arise...
I doubt they will do that. But I vote for it anyway!
