On our Blackberry version 2.2 the desktop manager does not have Notes 6 as a choice. You can use a workaround to get the Version 5 choice to be of use.

First get a copy of nstrings.dll from a Version 5 client

Make sure you are signed out of Notes

Rename the nstrings.dll on the Notes 6 client to nstrings.old

copy the version 5 file into your note directory.

run desktop manager and configure the PIM sync settings.

Remove the V5 of nstrings.dll and rename the .old version back

run desktop manager and synchronize.
