Why not just create a simple mail agent?
Make sure it's a shared one!!! and set it to run After Mail arrives.
Set up your search criteria in add search.
Add a simple action ... Reply to Sender and type out your body text in the box provided..
The issues generally come about through agent permissions and who can or can't run them...
