RE: Newbies, oldies, FAQ's and support... ~Naomi Deskroterakol 9.Jul.03 02:51 PM a Web browser General All ReleasesAll Platforms
is there an opportunity for Lotus to actually host the FAQ, and people to
post, edit and comment to documents ?
A few years ago I participated in a proposal to the Notes.Net folks about some
pretty radical updates to the forums that would facilitate this. Basically, a
proposed moderation model a la Slashdot (less complex, though) that would allow
not only for automatic FAQ generation, but easy identification of author's
expertise. Would have been an awesome KM tool for the platform, but I guess it
was just too complicated or lacked funding or something. It's a shame, because
this is an ideal community for that sort of thing. We even had some ideas on
how to extend the LDD community into an unofficial QA arm for the product.
Think of me... with a "See You Jimmy" hat.
If you check out any American urban slang dictionary, you'll understand why I
don't want to think of you with a "Jimmy Hat," Bill.
