Although I have few disagreements with what you are saying Al, I maintain that you are arguing a different question--Browser based v/s Notes client based, which translates to what you can do with each.

Rather the question of Thin v/s Thick client goes much deaper than that.

Your first statement is correct. It depends what you want to do with the app.
