File Save brings up a very good point... when supporting a browser running inside an intranet one can usually make several assumptions vs. one on the Internet. In an intranet you may be able to rely on specific browser versions, configurations, security settings, 3rd-party add-ons, operating systems, os-level file access, etc., whereas if the app is open to anybody on the Internet you can't rely on much other than the browser info reported back to the server.
