Can DECS or LEI runnning on a AS/400 Domino Server natively access MS Access and Oracle data ?
Can you let me know if we require either LEI, a similar product, or if we can simply use the DECS shipped version. We would like to query data in MS Access and Oracle in via Domino web applications in real time and eventually convert the MS Access apps to Domino.
Also, even if we decided for some reason to write Lotus Notes client ODBC applications we do not want to configure client-side ODBC since that will require further maintenance from a support perspective. Since ODBC is obviously a Microsoft technology I assume we need to use a JDBC, native LSX or LEI driver on the AS/400. LEI runs natively on the AS/400, but the other tools listed below seem like they will only run on a Windows NT/2000 box. CA Advantage Data Transformerthe will even run on IBM AIX, but not on the AS/400.
I have worked in environments which have used the Lotus Notes middleware tools below, but LEI seems to be the only tool to run on AS/400.
