Before you pat yourself on the back for such great intellectual argument lets put it into context. When Corel started the whole Linux desktop thing, WordPerfect wasn't exactly a large market share player. If it wasn't for the legal industries, I doubt it would of have a market share at all. It was a different time then, and the market was not receptive to alternatives to windows. The key apps were not all the way there. What I'm trying to say that, although it was not too long ago. It is now a different time. Now the market is different and linux is different. Don't point to one failure and say thats the rule that all will follow that try to do the same.
