You really don't need to install "server" version of Windows. The main thing is that you have the Notes client installed on that particular box. The Notes client needs to be installed and setup properly, but does not need to be running.

How much traffic will be flowing thru this connector box? You can setup a simple Win2000/NT workstation and be in good shape. That'd be a very inexpensive method.
