Good question - however... ~Lorraine Umkiteroopsi 1.Oct.02 05:22 PM a Web browser General All ReleasesAll Platforms
You are of course assuming that J2EE and .net are mutually exclusive. That IBM=j2ee, and M$=.net. This may not be the case.
Given IBM's determination over the next few years to drive and shape the market, one possibility would be for them to wrapper their J2EE technology in .net somehow (and I dont even pretend to know how feasible this is).
And since this argument is some way away, its not something worth venting much steam on at the moment. How many M$ shops have .net technology in production today ? How many people have even got .net serve up and running ?
I'm sure some smart IBM'mer will realise that locking out every Microsoft SMB is bad news, and come up with a strategy to suit...(Apologies for the "suit" pun..)
