After a long search/research I found SureWave Enterprise Server (SES), by JP Mobile (
http://www.jpmobile.com) to be the best in providing wireless access to Domino. Have tried the Nokia Communicator (Beta) with SES too, works great. But I need to know what does Lotus/IBM provide in the same field. I couldn't find a single product that does exactly as SES, did I miss anything? Here is what I could do with SES,
- Access Securely (SSL/Tripple DES), with PALM (including the latest smart phones in the market), RIM (both 950/957), PocketPC and Symbian (Nokia Communicator).
- Always on capability for any smart phone/RIM. (I could get an email to my Treo within 5 mins, automatically).
- Could synchronize Address book, To Do, Calendar (including meetings), and mail.
- Recently the product became SyncML compliant too.
- It offers more than 70% compression.
I could go on with the cool features it has. Is there any thing from IBM/Lotus that does the same?
Have tried Wireless Knowledge Server and several others but none offers what SES has.
What is Lotus/IBM response to the wireless needs of enterprizes? I looked into DEA and DES but they dont offer the whole 9 yards, and I have no clue as to why.
