Look at Cedenza from Common time, http://www.commontime.com. It has a cool client that runs on both PPC and Palm that actually replicates over any connection you can connect. We've run it over USB, Serial in the cradle, over cell modem and over wireless cards. Works great.

The also have a development model called mForms that is a local Notes client of sorts.
