There was a Networld World article on September 12 (you can find here:
http://pcworld.shopping.yahoo.com/yahoo/article/0,aid,61663,00.asp) that says, "IBM's Lotus Software division on Tuesday said it would ship a Mobile Notes client for the Compaq iPaq Pocket PC handheld device by the end of this year." Has this happened? While I appreciate the effort of all the third-party vendors out there, none are able to work around the fact that a Notes ID file is needed somewhere for a true connection to the server. Would this Lotus client allow an ID file to be stored on the PocketPC for authentication? I'm also hopeful for the same client replication options (like the "Space Saver" option of only keeping a certain amount of documents on the client, without deleting it from the server database).
Am I mis-reading the article? Doesn't that imply that a true Notes client for the Pocket PC should be released about now? Can anyone provide more information on that? Thanks.
