I'm not sure how the server scans multiple RBL's, but if you have one and there is some problem with the response I don't know what the server does. Should it just allow the mail regardless or wait ?

Maybe someone from the dev team could give us some insight into the algorithm and logic ?

In the meantime it might be worth a try just turning it off for a day or 2.
