I have since upgraded my SMTP server to R6. Here was the process I used...
1. Backup of the R5 SMTP Server
2. Backup Groupshield 5.2 settings/databases
3. Remove GroupShield 5.2
4. Install Domino 6 server/configure RBLDNS.
5. Install GroupShield 5.2 and configure.
6. Restore GroupShield settings from previous setup (ex. content rules).
7. Configured and ran GroupShield 5.2 AutoUpdate.
8. Load the ROUTER AND SMTP Tasks.
Happy to report that all is working normally with no errors since Jan 19/03. Autoupdate is working on schedule, and since that day, the RBLDNS functionality has blocked 4000+ SPAM Messages from reaching users inside.
I am aware of the fact that Groupshield is not verified supported, but it is working fine for me.
I am willing to accpet the risk on this, because at this time the benefits outweigh the costs..
