RE: Run Lotus Notes 6 on MS Exchange 5.5 ~Fred Chuveluplopakoi 20.Jun.03 01:08 PM a Web browser Notes Client 6.0.1Windows NT
I disagree completely. Using Notes as a POP3 client will at least give him some hands on experience with the Notes client. Even knowing what the menu options are would be better than knowing nothing at all.
I've used Notes as my POP3 client at home for nearly four years with no problems, and you don't have all the security headaches you do with Outlook or Outlook Express. Go ahead and set it up as a POP3 client for Exchange, you have nothing to lose and only experience to gain.
I really don't see how using a mail file from dominodeveloper.net would be any different than POP3, he's just replicating from a Notes server rather than polling POP3 mail. That's exciting.
