This issue was reported to Quality Engineering and has been fixed in Domino
6.5.6.

SPR# JBIE5XJMGG - Fixed a problem where the first server probe was not getting
handled.
Refer to the Upgrade Central site for details on upgrading Notes/Domino.
In order to probe multiple servers, you must create a single Domino server
probe and in it, specify the list of servers to probe. In the Domino server
probe document, you can specify a probe by server and a list of probed
servers. Since only one Domino server probe is cached by the probing server,
the other probe documents will be ignored. More >
