SPR # DJLL46YKFJFixed in 5.0.1 release

Product Area: Server Technical Area: SMTP - Anymail Platform: AS/400

SPR# DJLL46YKFJ - Fixed an MSF SMTP loop issuing error messages when OV/400 mail is sent to a nonexistant Notes user
Technote Number: 1095271

Problem:
This issue was reported to Lotus Quality Engineering and was addressed in
Domino for AS/400 5.0a. After you apply 5.0a, you have to issue the following
command and press ENTER:

Call dirclean '/smtp1/notes/data'

...where the name '/SMTP1/NOTES/DATA' is used as the data directory for the
server. The directory will be cleaned of the bad files. Note that the
DIRCLEAN program may run for a long period of time if the data directory has
many bad files.

To work around this issue, perform the following steps:

1. Tell Router to quit.

2. Rename MAIL.BOX.

3. Issue the following command:

ENDMSF OPTION(*IMMED)

4. From the AS/400 command line, issue the following command:

STRMSF MSGOPT(*CLEAR)

5. Restart the Router again.
