SPR # PCOY5VVJVH | Fixed in 6.5.5 release | Regression in 6.5.1 |

Product Area: Client Technical Area: Mail Client Platform: Cross Platform
Lotus Customer Support APAR: LO01134

SPR# PCOY5VVJVH - While closing Notes when the Welcome Page was set to WorkPlace and soft deletion was disabled, we used to see a dialog asking the user whether the documents marked for deletion should be deleted. This regression was introduced in 6.5.1.

Technote Number: 1195099

Problem:
With the Workplace welcome page in use, the prompt to empty the trash appears
behind the Notes Client user interface (UI). Using the ALT+TAB keys, this
prompt can be brought to the foreground, answered, and the client will then
shut down normally.
This issue was reported to Quality Engineering as SPR# PCOY5VVJVH, and is fixed
in Notes 6.5.5 Client.

Refer to the Upgrade Central site for details on upgrading Notes/Domino.
Workarounds to this issue are to:
1. change the preference for trash to either manually or always during database
close, OR
2. use a Welcome Page other than the Workplace, OR
3. use the ALT + TAB keys to access and answer the prompt. More >
