SPR# SRED6HTPZ6 - When opening notes using DWA - if another user has the database open, the note will stay unread
even after the user reads it. When the DWA user refreshes the view, the note will go back to unread. This regression was introduced in 7.0.
Technote Number: 1467798
Problem:
You receive a new message in your Inbox in Lotus® Domino® Web Access (iNotes™
Web Access), open it to read it, and then close it. The message is marked
correctly as read (black text) in the Inbox. You then refresh the Inbox and
the message you just read is now marked as unread (red text).
If you read the same message in Lotus Notes® Client, the read status (black
text) sticks, as expected.
In Domino Web Access if you select "Mark Read" from the menu, the read status
sticks, as expected.
It is only when you open the message by double-clicking, read it, close it, and
then do a refresh of the Inbox, that the message status changes back to unread.
This issue has been reported to Quality Engineering as SPR# SRED6HTPZ6 , and a
fix is currently being researched.
As noted above, a workaround is to select "Mark Read" from the Inbox menu after
you close the message and are back in the Inbox with the message still
highlighted.
Tip: If you click on the "Mark Read" menu text itself rather than clicking its
drop-down (arrow), it is only one step to mark your message as read.
