Technote Number: 1085093

Problem:

text you want to change, then selecting Text, Text Properties, and selecting
the desired color.

This issue was reported to Lotus Quality Engineering and was addressed in Notse
5.0.3 Client.

Excerpt from the Lotus Notes and Lotus Domino Release 5.0.3 QMR fix list:

Client
SPR# GFLY4FRHVR - Properly save the text color from the permanent pen style
that is in use when selecting text and pressing Shift-Backspace to strike it
out. [5.0.3]Supporting Information:

In summary, there are two issues occurring:

1. The Permanent Pen color does not save with the document when using the
SHIFT+BACKSPACE Permanent Pen feature.
2. If the text is Black when performing the SHIFT+BACKSPACE Permanent Pen
feature, the color appears to have changed on screen, but it hasn't. If you
open the Text properties (with the text highlighted, select Text, Text
Properties), you will see that the color property has not actually changed to
the Permanent Pen color (in this case, to Red); it remains Black and will
revert to Black on screen after you save, close, and reopen the document. This
problem applies only to the color Black; the other colors do not change.
