SPR# MJON6BVS8H - Fixed a Client crash which occurred when a delegated user performed a print preview from a group calendar. As the group calendar loads it opens the calendar of each person in the group to get in information we wish to preview. For this crash, we see that there is one person that has mail in their trash can. The crash was being caused by the dialog box (asking if the mail should be deleted from trash can) not being displayed properly and causing the view to fail. In turn, this caused part of a data structure to be created which resulted in a NULL field. Code was added that properly exited this section of code, the dialog box pops up and there is no crash.

Problem:
This issue was reported to Quality Engineering as SPR# MJON6BVS8H, and a fix is
being researched for a future Maintenance Release.
It appears that the crash was caused by the Prompt for Deletion message box.
If the delegate has Reader or lower access to the mail file owner's calendar,
the client does not crash.
If the owner has soft deletions enabled, the client does not crash.
A cumulative client hotfix (CCH) is available for Notes Client 6.5.4 that fixes
the issue reported in SPR# MJON6BVS8H. Since hotfixes do not receive the
extensive testing that maintenance releases and fix packs do, customers are
encouraged to implement workarounds or deploy a release containing the fix once
available. However, if workarounds are not possible or applicable and you
still need a fix, contact IBM Technical Support to request the CCH containing
the fix for this issue. More >
