SPR# YTOA5GPE8T - Print-preview will match the actual printed output. For this
fix, the Notes.ini variable "PrinterPixelPreview=1" must be used on the client.
This regression was introduced in 6.0.
There is no known workaround.
Supporting Information:
Beginning with Notes 6.5.4, an improved print-preview capability has been added
to the Notes client. It uses Windows metafiles by adding the Notes.ini
variable "PrinterPixelPreview=1", which is 100% accurate. This feature is
available only on Windows platforms; it is not available on the Mac. The Show
Page Breaks function in the Notes client is not always accurate, and the new
preview method provides the user a fully accurate means to preview page breaks.
Steps to reproduce:
1. Create one document that becomes two pages or more when it is printed.
2. Open the document and print it.
3. With the document still open, select File -> Print Preview
4. Compare the preview page on your screen with the printed result. Notice the
page of the
beginning of the preview differs from the printed result. There is more text
on the printout
than in the preview. In other words, the Preview is not showing as much data
on the first
page as is the printout. It cuts off and begins on the next page at a
different point. More >
