Problem:
This issue was reported to Lotus Quality Engineering and has been addressed in
Notes 5.0.5.
Excerpt from the Lotus Notes and Lotus Domino Release 5.0.5 QMR fix list:
Client
SPR# JHMN4GBDKR, WURA4HH9FJ - Fixed error "Invalid or nonexistent document"
when launching an attachment on a MIME message and forwarding the message.
As a workaround, instead of forwarding the open message after viewing the
attachment, first close the document. You can then forward it using either the
view level Forward action or reopening the message and using the document
Forward action.Supporting Information:
To reproduce this, send a MIME message with an attachment:
1. Open the recipient's mail file.
2. Open the message with the attached file.
3. Double-click the attachment to open the Attachment properties box.
4. Select the View Attachment action to open the attachment in the File Viewer.
5. Close the File Viewer.
6. With the message still open, select Actions, Forward from the menu to
forward this message. The error "Invalid or nonexistent document" will display.
7. Click OK and close the dialog box.
8. The forwarding message now displays, but the attachment in this document has
become a graphic picture. Forward this mail to Notes mail user.
9. The attachment in the mail message has been forwarded as a graphic picture
and cannot be viewed in file viewer.
