SPR# DCAL6AATTB - Fixed an error message and failure to notify chairs of a room rename for exisitng reservations, if one of the chairs is no longer listed in Domino Directory. The renaming of the resource was completed but the name change notification fails to get to chairs.

Technote Number: 1201262

Problem:
This issue occurs if the Chairperson of meetings that have scheduled this
particular resource to be renamed is no longer listed in the Domino Directory.
Some reasons that the Chairperson is no longer listed in the names.nsf could be
due to termination, resignation, name deletion, name removal, etc.

This issue was reported to Quality Engineering as SPR# DCAL6AATTB, and has been
addressed in 7.0. The fix results in the continuation of the process in cases
where a Chairperson's name is not found in the Domino Directory.

Workaround:
The only workaround is to delete the meetings scheduled by any Chairperson
whose name no longer appears in the Domino Directory.

Supporting Information:
In another case, a user received this error message even though the Chairperson
was in the Domino Directory. This user had just renamed a resource without
error that had been scheduled by one of the invitees. The problem in this case
was due to a calendar document in the "Waiting for approval" view. Once this
document was approved, the rename completed without error.

There are consequences when existing reservations continue to list the old room
name, including the following:

Incorrect freetime listings
The potential for double-booking the room
Chairpersons unable to modify the existing meeting since the old room name
cannot be found in the Domino Directory
