Explanation:

Specifies the path to the transaction log. The default location is \logdir in the server's data directory - for example c:\data\logdir. However, it is strongly recommended that the transaction log be storedon a separate mirrored device, such as a RAID level 0 or 1 device with a dedicated controller. If you change this field and have an existing transaction log, you must use the operating system to move all the log files to the new log path.
