When you plan to deploy policies you do need to keep in mind:

- The policy creator should always be in names.nsf and have at least Editor access to names.nsf

So never use your personal account, it is recommended to create a Domino Administrator account that you use for all your administrative task under Domino. If you are a team you should use a different administrator account not your personal id file.

If you do have an error message during a new Lotus-Notes client setup, verify the presence of the person who created the policy and its parameters.

- The parameter referenced into the policy should exist

If you have deleted a parameter, Domino does not verify it is used in a policy. The impact is only for new Lotus-Notes client setup, you won't be able to install them. To correct the problem you would have to edit the policy and remove the reference to the non-existent parameter.
