Overview

Lotus Notes Traveler 8.5.3.3 Interim Fix 2 (IF2) is a maintenance roll up that contains APAR fixes for the Lotus Traveler server and mobile clients. The information below outlines the changes included. Please be sure to review the Lotus Traveler Product Documentation for additional information.

Note: Lotus Traveler 8.5.3.3 IF2 does not include features delivered in Lotus Traveler 8.5.3 Upgrade Pack 1 or Upgrade Pack 2 and can not be installed on those releases. Separate maintenance deliveries will be provided for the 8.5.3 Upgrade Pack 1 and 8.5.3 Upgrade Pack 2 releases.

Installation Notes

You can obtain the 8.5.3.3 IF2 upgrade package from Fix Central. The upgrade package requires the base level Lotus Traveler server already be installed, for example 8.5.3.0 or later. If setting up a new environment or migrating from an older release first download and install Lotus Traveler 8.5.3.3 from Passport Advantage as documented here.

Important
When upgrading to 8.5.3.3 IF2 the defrag function may run automatically during the first start of the Lotus Traveler server. This will happen any time the database schema is updated as a result of the upgrade. The server will start normally once the defragmentation is completed. Depending on database size and system capabilities, the defragmentation may take longer than 30 minutes. Please plan this time into any scheduled maintenance window for upgrade. It is important to let the defrag operation complete normally. DO NOT STOP the server in the middle of the defrag operation. When complete you will see a status message similar to Lotus Traveler: Server started.
