Widgets may be provisioned numerous ways, including the Lotus Greenhouse. When provisioning a widget from an authenticated site, the Lotus Notes client attempts to create an account document in the local name and address book of the user. However, a regression was introduced in the way this was handled. No user authentication information is placed in the lcoaly created account document causing the following Lotus Notes client error:
"Web Request: Authentication failed using the supplied credentials. Verify the username and password and try again."
The user then clicks ok and is left back in the Notes client. The below video shows the error and how it is generated

Widgets being provisioned via authenticated webpages, now generate an error in 8.5.1 and 8.5.2. This has been issued and SPR by Lotus to be addressed in 8.5.2 FP3 and 8.5.3 Lotus has acknowledged this is a Notes regression bug under Spr OAGU88XK87 that worked in Notes 8.5 and broke in 8.5.1 and 8.5.2. This will make it in 8.5.2 FP1 and 8.5.3. This is a client fix. |
